The Findwillow directors Adrian Weldon-Hollingworth and David Bagley are proud to announce that:

Findwillow Ltd won a Silver-Gilt Medal for their small garden 'Cultivating a Paleontologist' at The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2011.

A great achievement for their first ever show.

The Findwillow team, with their extensive skills in soft and hard landscaping, brought to life Adrian's design for a small garden, Cultivating a Palaeontologist.

A unique aspect of the garden is the use of the huge "cap stones" from the Isle of Purbeck quarries in Dorset, UK – a waste material due to the flint found embedded in the stone, which causes damage to stone cutting blades.

On a visit to the Jurassic coastline, Adrian discovered this discarded rock with its interesting layering and occasional fossils. He then developed the garden's story – history in the making. The past is evident in the rock, the present being the garden itself providing a perfect habitat for nurturing the explorative interest and imagination of a child, who represents the future.

The garden's distinctive planting provides structural and textural interest, some of which has been grown at the company's own plant nursery, Walnut Hill Nurseries, Kent.

It was also Adrian's affiliation with the Royal Horticultural Society following his training at Kew Gardens, and the company wanting to showcase their talent in design and construction that has led them to taking part in the prestigious event.
